Her fame grew as did the roles she played in films, such as 'Take Shelter', 'The Help', 'Mama' and "Interstellar'. She received the Golden Globe Award for her character in "Zero Dark Thirty which was nominated for "Best Actress". Her role is known for portraying female characters who have flaws. Her roles often champion feminist ideals. A vocal and outspoken feminist, she has been known to be a proponent of equal pay. TIME magazine listed her as one of the most influential people in the World in 2012.
